Non-dualism and Spiritual Bypassing are NOT the Same Thing

August 12, 2020August 12, 2020 / Grace Lucille / Leave a comment

If your takeaway from non-dualism is that your feelings, desires, and experiences are irrelevant or even a hindrance to enlightenment or a fulfilling life, then you don't understand non-dualism.

This is my favorite human (but definitely not my favorite hair style on him). We've been together now for like 12 years or something like that. We didn't understand each other's sense of humor at first, which made me a little nervous since I love to laugh and share jokes. But over the years we seemed to develop our own language of comedy and we laugh together all the time. We are constantly quoting lines at the exact same time, our brains are fusing together or some weird shit like that.
I dream of a world where we don't have to numb our bodies and hearts and minds in order to survive...
I think a lot of women carry the ancestral memory of witch burnings. We don't consciously remember it, but somewhere in our cellular memory is the remembrance that women with gifts of healing were routinely tracked down and burned as heretics by the Church, which was the "scientific" institution of the day.
Sometimes you feel like you've been rear-ended in a multiple vehicle car crash. All this energy comes up behind you and the force of impact rattles your entire body and mind.
Let my womb become your canvas
I keep pieces of nature all around my home. These little treasures greet me every time I go to wash my face or oil my nose and ears or scrape my tongue and brush my teeth. I am happy to see them whenever I am at the bathroom sink. They are reminders that I live on a beautiful world of endless fascination, and that the relationships with all other lifeforms are worth honoring and loving always. There is no such thing as independence. All of nature is intertwined in survival and thriving, we are all dependent upon the health of every other living being, seen and unseen.
Gratitude is the most pleasurable feeling, in my opinion. Gratitude is a recognition of the goodness in our lives. How else do we truly experience that goodness without recognizing it? If you do not appreciate something, then it must hold little value for you, and your experience of that thing is shallow and limited.
I have never cried so much while reading a book. Tears of grief and tears of love and tears of hope. There's entirely too much to say about it.
