My kid is always taking my phone and recording me 🤪 I'm relearning songs from Phantom of the Opera and it just now occurred to me why this is the only song I ever learned to play straight thru- it doesn't have any key changes hahahaha.

For those interested in my poetry, I wanted to give an update on what I'm doing.

I decided to start reading poetry as a daily habit. You may find this a bit absurd and hard to believe, but I've barely thought about reading poetry! I have a couple books of poetry I love but only a few months ago did it occur to me that I should be submersing myself in poetry on a regular basis. It's been a very nourishing decision. So now I have a growing stack of poetry books with many more on my wishlist.

I'm reaching the point where if any system of spirituality or philosophy or politics or even social justice isn't land-based, I am not impressed or interested.

December is telling me that this is not a month to get things done, nor is it even a time of dreaming. My body and spirit have plans which my mind knows not.
